Blooming in the Winta'

 Bought these items on a whim! They had just come in new to my store (H&M) and I fell in love. This outfit would more so fit the spring or fall seasons but we randomly had a warm weekend. I took advantage to say the least. My too favorite prints to where are polka dot and floral print, so when I see it, I must own it! I adore this skirt and the color palette it has. It gives you so many ways to wear it. I'm sure this will be in heavy rotation once it warms up.

By the way, blogger is ruining the quality of my photos for some reason. So they look a little crazy.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm moving to New York very soon. I planned on being there in January but I couldn't just pick up leave on a whim. It is SO hard to find a place to live. I'm not in any position to get a whole apartment to myself nor do I want to. So, I pushed my move to March. Hopefully I'll be able to move there quicker but March will be my deadline. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. As much  as I love New York, I have a fear that I won't like living there. I'll give it a year and hopefully I'll be in absolute love with the place!

In Desperate Need

Okay, I know these pants fit super weird. I cannot tell you why I continue to wear them. Well, probably because they are still basically new. The sad thing is that I actually took the time to try these on in the store, seen how bad they fit and still bought them smh. In my defense, the fit wasn't as bad when I first tried them on. It's just I had been wanting a pair of skinny legged trousers for the LONGEST. The waist is SUPER huge! And then it gets really fitted at the bottom creating the baggy mess you see. Anyway, didn't want to waste the photos and it was FREEZING outside (reason for my weird faces), so they were going up! This whole look is just weird looking but whatever.

I've been going back and forth lately about what I want to do with my hair. I really want to shave it but just the back and sides. Recently, I've been thinking about a short straight bob with bangs and I want it to look choppy and edgy. I just don't know though. I'm so indecisive! I have until I get paid next week, which I'm in desperate need of. You have know idea. I haven't had a pay check for a whole month! I'm dying!

Oh yeah, I was super excited last night to see Obama getting re-elected last night! I'm not going to lie, I was super nervous. I was so proud!! I need to get Obama shirts ASAP! One for everyday of the week. I WILL be there for his inauguration! One perk about living in DC. So excited!

Today I felt like I just got up to walk around. I did go to my classes but we didn't do anything. The best thing about my day was this photo shoot. A chance to get away from the school. I definitely need to find something productive to do with my time.

The black and white top I have on is a top that I thrifted for a $1. I got it during the winter. Everything in the store was a dollar, so I decided to get it and save it for when it was warm. Well, it's warm! I was trying to get away from wearing the things I got from forever 21 but that didn't work. I'm ready to go spring thrifting, I'm tired of my outfits being solely forever 21. 

Today I did get the chance to pick up a bus schedule! I'm very excited about that. Back at home all I do is ride the bus. Finally, I can start doing that here. I'm sick of being stranded at the school. Plus, the bus is only $1.50. Score! That's dirt cheap. The first place I'm going is to the mall so I can get some contacts. Can you believe I've been walking around blind for 6 months??

What lies behind us...

Hot day in Florida today! Of course I would decide to wear long sleeves when it's hot! Beautiful day though, that's why I decided to shoot at the beach : ) Anyway, today was not a productive day at all. I overslept and missed my first class and then I ended up not going to any of them. It all just seems pointless to me since I'm transferring. The class I need, which is English, I never miss. So it's all good. Also, I decided I'm dropping my math class...another pointless class I attend. I'm just ready for school to be over. 

This past weekend I went to the movies two times! : ) I love the movies just so you know. I saw The Adjustment Bureau and Battle of LA. Loved Battle of LA, The Adjustment Bureau, not so much. Have you guys seen those movies yet? What do you think of them? I went with my ex...I'll introduce him later. We're rekindling our relationship. : )

Now for my outfit, I was inspired. I got this bow when I was in Miami on spring break. As soon as I saw it I thought of that shoot Chanel Iman did as Minnie Mouse. My outfit looks nothing like the one in the shoot but it still inspired the look.

Jungle Fever...

Found a great new location! Doesn't it remind you of the jungle?? Anyways, it was so windy that day. i.e. I hated my hair. I couldn't get it to stay in place due to the wind.

That shirt is my favorite purchase from forever 21. I love it! The animal print...ahhgh I had to have it! Now, the pants..I liked them when I first put them on. They seemed to fit pretty cute but when I wore them this day they just seemed so big! They're already an extra small. My shoes, which you've seen before, are becoming a favorite of mine.
