Pastel Peplum

Oh yes, it's warming up a tad bit! Only a TAD! All of March will still be pretty cold here in D.C., cold but not freezing. I can definitely deal with that. The outfit below will be paired with a long coat and I'm good to go.

I should honestly be a spokes model for H&M. Every outfit I wear is head to toe H&M for the most part. This outfit is no exception. I've been really into the color pink lately. Pastel pink to be specific. I'm just now discovering how freaking fabulous it looks against my skin tone! So, I couldn't wait to bust out this peplum top from H&M trend. I paired it with a dark color to purposely make it stand out. It's such a beauty! 

Another love of mine is this fabulous bracelet wrap watch from Winky Designs. It's so absolutely stunning. I love that it comes layered! The chains and semi-precious stones really give it that wow factor. It looks so good dressed up or down. I love pairing it with a t-shirt and boyfriend jeans. Blooming in the Winta'

 Bought these items on a whim! They had just come in new to my store (H&M) and I fell in love. This outfit would more so fit the spring or fall seasons but we randomly had a warm weekend. I took advantage to say the least. My too favorite prints to where are polka dot and floral print, so when I see it, I must own it! I adore this skirt and the color palette it has. It gives you so many ways to wear it. I'm sure this will be in heavy rotation once it warms up.

By the way, blogger is ruining the quality of my photos for some reason. So they look a little crazy.

I don't know if I mentioned it, but I'm moving to New York very soon. I planned on being there in January but I couldn't just pick up leave on a whim. It is SO hard to find a place to live. I'm not in any position to get a whole apartment to myself nor do I want to. So, I pushed my move to March. Hopefully I'll be able to move there quicker but March will be my deadline. I'm really excited and nervous at the same time. As much  as I love New York, I have a fear that I won't like living there. I'll give it a year and hopefully I'll be in absolute love with the place!

 I picked this Tupac t-shirt up yesterday at work. I've had my eye on it for quite a while and just decided to get it on a whim along with these new boyfriend jeans. I was still on a high from getting tickets to go see Beyonce this summer and just started making rash decisions. I put myself on a very strict spending limit so this was not a good decision but oh well, I love me some Tupac.

I also received some really good news from work the other day. I had already been put in a new department that indicates employees who are heading towards growth aka promotions a few months ago. I had let them know that I was already a visual merchandiser previously and that I would like to do that after a few months. They decided that I was supervisor material instead, which is amazing. It's a position that I'm not interested in at all but it's more money and I will not turn it down. The process will take a few months and it's not guaranteed. It's up to me to prove to them I can do the job. So, wish me luck!!

Calm before the storm

 I got this amazing pink wool jacket on sale at H&M. I actually hate wearing pink but something about this jacket grabbed my attention. It had to come home. I'm killing my boyfriend jeans this week and LAWD, two new styles came to the store today. I WILL own them. Can't control my excitement.

I've been having a productive couple of months. I set short term goals that I'm very close to reaching and I'm super excited about that. I'm doing what I have to do to get where I want to be by the end of this year. My goals are actually making me fee like the year is almost over, with all the pressure. Its imperative that all my goals be complete by a certain time, they all tie into each other. I'm so close and bursting with excitement. It's time to take control of my life.

Forever ain't always forever

Introducing you to my new favorite pair of pants. I just bought these yesterday after work. They were on sale in the men's section, my new fav. place to shop. My entire outfit is actually from the men's section. It's my thing now. Long story short, I love corduroy pants. Especially in this stand out color. Heaven on earth. 

Wearing H&M sweatshirt that I'll be getting in every color because it's only $12, corduroy pants, knitted scarf, Fur hat that I'm in love with, quilted jacket(women section), Maison Martin Margiela upside down bag and Urbanog cheetah pumps.

I hope everyone took advantage of the huge sale H&M had. Everything I'm wearing (minus the sweatshirt) I bought on sale. The prices keep going down. For instance my scarf was $5 and my hat was $3.50. You can't beat that.
