Cheetah Print Tracks

I've been feeling a little uninspired by fashion lately. I've been feeling like my style has become so generic for a while. I'm actually positive that it has. When I first began my blog, I was a sophomore in college. I had no money, so I went thrift store shopping. That's all my wardrobe consisted of for like 2 years. So my style was very unique and truly my own. I've actually started to look back at my old photos to get inspiration from myself. Now, that I started working in retail it's really hard for me not to be trendy. Especially working at a store like H&M. The company specifically goes after every trend each season. Since I spend most of my life there, I shop it!

I'm trying to get back to my old self. Stop shopping for one, and gain my style back. I wear so many different styles when I actually think true style is having a style that is YOU and all your own. For example, Solange Knowles. She has a style that she can be identified as, that's all her own. She loves prints and color, everyone knows that. I want to regain that. At one point I had a style all my own. Even when mixing in trends, I always stayed very true to myself.

This outfit is a good way to get back on that track. I usually only photograph my outfits when I'm in heels. In reality, I hardly wear heels anymore because I work so much.

I'm loving this outfit because I'm wearing my favorite print, cheetah, from H&M. Along with an orange skirt c/o amiclubwear, and my new go to chunky sandals from H&M Divided Black.

Pastel Peplum

Oh yes, it's warming up a tad bit! Only a TAD! All of March will still be pretty cold here in D.C., cold but not freezing. I can definitely deal with that. The outfit below will be paired with a long coat and I'm good to go.

I should honestly be a spokes model for H&M. Every outfit I wear is head to toe H&M for the most part. This outfit is no exception. I've been really into the color pink lately. Pastel pink to be specific. I'm just now discovering how freaking fabulous it looks against my skin tone! So, I couldn't wait to bust out this peplum top from H&M trend. I paired it with a dark color to purposely make it stand out. It's such a beauty!

Another love of mine is this fabulous bracelet wrap watch from Winky Designs. It's so absolutely stunning. I love that it comes layered! The chains and semi-precious stones really give it that wow factor. It looks so good dressed up or down. I love pairing it with a t-shirt and boyfriend jeans. They have an entire collection of these called Sweet Dreams. I'm wearing the Tiramisu watch. They have others like Mint Choc Chip, which I love, and Red Velvet.

If you must get your hands on one, I can do you a big fave and give you this 10% discount code: FURBANANAS14. This will expire March 17th at midnight and it's off any item! Enjoy!!

Colorful Winter | Sammy Dress

We finally had a warm day in D.C. and I decided to take full advantage of it. There's actually still snow on the ground from our recently passed snow storm but the warmth is still here. I'm so desperate for the spring that I went all out with this outfit. Winter days can be so grey and gloomy, so I decided to brighten this gloomy day up with all this color!

I'm wearing my H&M pink foam skirt again with this amazing rainbow print cardigan that I received from sammydress.com. I'm so in love with all the possibilities this cardigan has. With all the colors, I can think of a hundred ways to style it. It also makes it really easy to be fun, bold, and cute! I've already found two more things in my closet I would love to style it with. I paired it with a colorful necklace, also from sammydress.com, to bring the look together. I'll also be incorporating bold jewelry into my wardrobe. At the moment I like simple and dainty. I decided this spring that I really want to go bold with loud prints and color. No better time to start than the present.

Get my rainbow print cardigan here and my colorful bird necklace here. Shoes are from Urbanog.com, white linen top from H&M, and jean jacket from H&M men.

If you keep me a promise, I'm keeping mine

These are quite some pants! I love them so much but I feel like they are hard to style. Not the color but the way they fit kind of throws off every top I pair with it! At least in my opinion it does. That doesn't stop them from being a favorite in my closet though. I love the print, the sheen, and the color. A brilliant pair of pants indeed. They remind me of something Solange would wear which is always a plus in my book.

I got my top recently on sale. It was seven dollars! Guess the original price?....... fifty dollars!! Major bargain. I like it because it reminds me of a kenzo sweater. Super stylish.

I'm wearing H&M pants, top and coat (do I ever were anything else). Shoes are from Urbanog.

Until next time..

Pastel Winter

I have been living in this coat for most of the winter. It was the first coat I purchased for the season and the best. For one, I LOVE the pink pastel color (not showing in the photos) and the shape of it. It's over-size, big and warm. It compliments almost every color I wear this season. The only thing that bothers me is my makeup! It gets all over the collar, sadly.

I'm so desperately ready for the Spring/Summer to arrive. I am OVER the winter. I just want to prance around in sandals and bright colors already. This winter has been dry. I'm so focused on staying warm that what I'm actually wearing is of no importance. I usually just throw on layers and call it a day. Luckily, the weather has been flipping out. We've been getting some warmer days. I hope that means Spring will arrive early this year.

I'm wearing a coat from H&M Trend, Sweater from Forever 21, Pants from H&M (last season), Shoes from Forever 21, Rings from H&M.
