...and when I'm gone, there's no turning back.

I made it through the first quarter at my new school in Miami. It's been three long months and I'm still ready to leave more than ever. I am, however, being more optimistic about the rest of my stay here. I'm really determined to find a job in retail to gain experience in the area and to save for my very first apartment. I do a lot of complaining about what I don't have but I never actually try to change that. Well, now I will.

I realized I don't have to depend on anyone but myself to get the things I want. My mother was doing it on her own at my age, and she had a child. It's just me, so if she could manage I definitely can.  I just want to start being more responsible and stop sitting around waiting for things to happen. It's time to start making them happen. The first step is finding a job. Second, getting the hell out of Miami.

...please, take me home!

I'm wearing a sweater that I decided to cut up right before I left the house. This was one of my favorite sweaters but I really didn't like the fit...so I went to cutting. I usually ALWAYS regret when I do cut up things. Hopefully I won't this time. I really love these white shorts...just wish they weren't so big! But that's what happens when you go thrifting, at least for me.

Today felt pointless as usual. I don't know if I shared with you guys that my modeling troupe is putting on a show and I have practice for that almost everyday. Talk about exhausting! I'm the assistant production manager, which means I help put the show together and run the practices and I'm also the fashion coordinator. So, I'm definitely stressed. On Tuesdays I like to go to the movies after practice with my best friend so I can just relax! Movie Madness Tuesdays. $5 all day! Can't beat that!
